This humorous photo was taken at Area 51 on April 6, 1965. The man with the fishing pole is Sgt. Murphy Green from the culinary service section at the base. Mr. Green was a contractor with REECo. After a rain storm the normally dry Groom lakebed is covered with a shallow layer of water, providing the setting for this (staged) photo. The Area 51 north ramp with hangars 5 and 6 is clearly visible in the background. The peak on the right is Papoose Mountain.
